Soak it up

These days, rather than trying to squeeze the dickens out of my very dry sponge of wisdom, I am trying to soak it in and store it away like a thirsty camel for other dry spells to come.  Thus, I leave you with a quote that I found most beautiful and illuminating from my all-time favorite spiritual read: Interior Freedom by Jacques Phillippe.  This book is changing my life.

“The person God loves with the tenderness of a Father, the person He wants to touch and to transform with His Love, is not the person we’d have liked to be or ought to be.  It’s the person we are”

Be yourself.  That is Who God is calling to Heaven.  Jesus suffered and died so that we could rise again, not the imaginary person we hope to become or pretend we are.  The real, flawed, sinful us.  That is mind blowing to me. I like having my mind blown open by Reality and Truth.

And, without further ado (drum roll), the photo of the Month.  I can feel the excitement.  And I’m giving you two, because it’s just too hard to choose between these.

It’s Thursday.  Which means it’s almost the weekend.  Which means soak up the sun, because it's Summah!

  1. ah, of course you would include a quote from interior freedom given that i just cracked it open yesterday for another read (finished it in a flash the first go round, so i'm sure round two will be no different).

thank you for sharing and LOVE the photos of the month. a worthy tie, indeed.
